Specialist Buyer for Project /Technical & Spares

Job Summary  
Buyer for Project / Technical & Spares » would highlight the ability to procure track materials, equipment,
capital goods and spare parts for specific projects and operational needs, focusing on technical aspects and
cost-effectiveness. Key responsibilities would include sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring
timely delivery with quality and warranty/guarantee.  
Duties:  
– Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, considering price, quality, delivery times, and technical specifications.
– Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favourable pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
– Process purchase orders for capital and flow parts based on supply/demand situation: meeting internal
customer’s demands, forecasting (ie. Build Plan), engineering inputs, and other system signals
– Maintain relationships with suppliers, conduct performance evaluations, and address any issues that may arise.
– Possess a solid understanding of technical specifications and industry standards for the products being procured.
– Analyze costs, identify cost reduction opportunities, and ensure that procurement activities align with budget constraints.
– Collaborate with project teams to ensure that procurement needs are met for specific projects.
– Manage the inventory of spare parts, ensuring that sufficient quantities are available to meet maintenance needs.
– Coordinate master schedulers, track supplies, manufacturing factories and stores incharge for proper schedule and
allocation of the high value capital and flow parts.
– Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier performance data.

manufacture and order fulfilment
– Able to work well under pressure and handle emergency and stressful situations
– Keen attention to detail and accuracyFamiliarity with an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
system would be beneficial  
Industrial Knowledge:  
– Proven experience in procurement planning in General, Spares, RM and PM.
– Previous experience of working in a purchasing team preferably within an technical, building and spare or project buyer.
– Strong communication, and relationship-building skills.
– Ability to work independently and handle pressure.\Adherence to timeline for set goals            
PROFILE:
– Minimum 5-6 years of experience in purchase planning and data analytical skill.
– Degree in a related field, such as Supply Chain Management, Operations Management,
or Industrial Engineering.
– Knowledge of working in Excel and large data.
