Duties:
- Creating Production Schedules weekly, monthly, yearly.Develop and manage production schedules, considering factors like demand forecasts, material availability, and resource capacity.
- Analysing data and forecasting trends to make planning decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure vendor alignment with business needs.They monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Production planners work closely with various teams, including sales, procurement, engineering, and logistics, to ensure smooth production flow and timely delivery of products.
- They track production progress against schedules, identify and resolve production bottlenecks, and analyze production delays to improve efficiency and minimize disruptions.
- Production planners ensure that the manufacturing processes adhere to quality standards and that the final products meet the required specifications.
- They help in developing cost estimates for production and work to optimize resource utilization to minimize production costs.
- A good understanding of manufacturing processes, inventory management systems, and production planning software is often required.
